The classic Filipino strategy game. Two armies of hidden battalions clash in the fog, each one led by an officer whose rank decides the fight; the higher rank overruns the lower. The twist: a lone Spy can slip in and topple any general, but a Private battalion, whose men have known each other since boot camp, spots the impostor on sight and cuts the Spy down. Seize the enemy Flag to win.

📖 Game of the Generals Handbook
🎯 Goal
Capture the enemy 🚩 Flag in a clash, or march your own Flag to the
far end of the board and survive one turn there.
🎖️ Your 21 battalions
Each piece is a battalion, and the shoulder-board it wears is the officer commanding it:
five Generals (⭐5 down to ⭐1), Colonel, Lt. Colonel, Major, Captain, two Lieutenants,
a Sergeant, 6 Private battalions, 2 Spies and the Flag. The enemy sees only
blank markers 🎖️, never the brass beneath, so nobody knows which battalion is which.
⚔️ Clashes
Move one square per turn (up/down/left/right) into an enemy battalion to engage it. The arbiter
reveals the outcome: the higher rank overruns the lower, equal ranks wipe each other out.
The famous twists: a lone Spy can infiltrate and topple any General, but the Private
battalions have known every face since boot camp, so a Spy that strikes one is unmasked and cut
down on the spot; the Flag commands no troops and falls to anyone.
🏳️ Setup
Arrange your army in your three home rows (reroll the formation until you like it, then lock in).
Hide your Flag well, and leave it a lane to run.
💡 A clash reveals BOTH pieces in the log, information both sides now share.
